Introduction to the Institut MERMOZ

The Institut MERMOZ was founded in April 24th 1957 by Mister André Ramondo, a former Air France Chief pilot, and a fellow-worker of famous Jean Mermoz.

For more than 60 years, the Institut MERMOZ has carried out distance and on-site training programs for Pilots and Cabin Crew members in the field of civil aviation, and published series of well recognised textbooks.

When new European standards came into force, the Institut MERMOZ was one of the very first training school to reach the ATO and CCA certifications delivered by the French Authority (DGAC).

Today, more than 45000 trainees have carried out one of our programs for Pilots and Cabin Crew members.

Our premises

Our premises are located in the city of Rungis, which is 10 km south of Paris and a few steps away from Orly airport.

Education

Our training programs are based upon two fundamental factors:

  • An efficient preparation for the exams ;
  • A rigorous training so that airline operators can rely on competent, professional and competitive staff.
